Sun Lodge Tourist Park is situated at Point Vernon, the quieter end of Hervey Bay, overlooking beautiful Gatakers Bay. All units are single storey with ocean views. Access to the beach is down a little walking track, and across a park, about 200 metres.

They feed the lorikeets twice daily, and the Park is across the road from a large area of parkland, where there are kangaroos and lots of birds - a birdwatchers delight, in fact.

Units, Cabins and Van Sites have their own private ensuite and are set in quiet surroundings with swimming pool, barbecue area and laundry.

All Fraser Island tours, fishing trips and whale watching trips (July to November) can be organised with courtesy pick ups available. Dogs are permitted on application.

There are two boat ramps adjacent to the Park, and the area is one of the best fishing spots in the Bay. They are one kilometre from the corner takeaway shop, and the main shopping centre is a seven minute trip in the car. All accommodation has air conditioning, fans, personal ensuites, and is self contained and self-catering. The van sites have power, water and their own personal ensuite.



Room Descriptions

Units
The units are at the front of the Park, where they have good views of the Bay. There is a verandah at the front, and a table and chairs from which to enjoy the view. They vary in style, but all have at least a queen sized bed, and a long single bed. Some have a separate bedroom with bunks and a bed. A big fridge, stove/cooker and utensils. They all have fans, and are air conditioned. They are fully self contained.
Cabins
The Cabins are open area, some with separate bedroom. They have queen sized or double beds, and bunks, cook top, griller, utensils, and microwave. There is a television, and they are air conditioned. The smaller cabins have an external, personal ensuite, and the villa style cabins are fully self-contained, with a separate queen sized bedroom. All have patios at the front.
Ensuite Caravan Sites
The sites have their own personal ensuite next to the slab, and power and water is supplied.
